The Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center was designed by the Dunning Group which was developed by the Ballantine Management Group and the Silver Companies.
This 114,000 square foot facility is designed to be the centerpiece of a new hospitality and entertainment development in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The layout of the building allows three separate events to occur simultaneously. A main entrance is situated at the center of the facility and provides ticket distribution, concession, show offices and building core areas. From the main entrance three controlled entrances provide access to the individual event areas.
The first area is the ballrooms and meeting rooms. The ballroom is over 12,000 square feet in area and can be divided into six separate halls. There are three smaller meeting rooms, a grand foyer, coat room, restroom facilities and an event office also located adjacent to the ballroom. A banquet kitchen has been designed to accommodate dining events of up to 1,200 persons.
The second event area is a multi-purpose hall, approximately 47,000 square feet in size. This hall has concession areas, restrooms and direct-access to the receiving area. The third hall is an additional 37,000 square foot multi-purpose room, which is separated from the larger hall by an operable wall partition. This area also has concession areas, restrooms and direct access to the receiving area. The Construction Costs were approximately $10M.
